Non-infectious uveitis

Description

Non-infectious uveitis is an inflammation of the eye, whereby the vascular tunic (uvea) is affected, and which is not caused by an infection with viruses, bacteria or other germs. Depending on whether the iris, vitreous body or choroid are affected, doctors divide the disease into 3 areas: anterior uveitis (the most common form), whereby the iris is inflamed; intermediate uveitis, whereby mainly the vitreous body is inflamed and posterior uveitis, whereby primarily the choroid is inflamed.
